The Last Of Us Showrunner Says Joel Is A "Hero", But Not In A "Positive Sense"

Those who've played The Last of Us know how hard the ending hits. Whether it was the PS3 original or the PS4 remaster or the PS5 remake, the Game has been a standout experience not only for its refined Game play but for the story that it serves. The director and writer Neil Druckmann, alongside Game director Bruce Straley, deserve full credit here. The HBO adaptation has thrust the Game 's famous ending back into the limelight, sparking much discussion and debate once again. Recently, showrunner on the HBO show Craig Mazin spoke at length about the season finale, Joel's decision, and much else, in an interview with Vulture. Mazin was generous, not only revealing his regrets over a cut line in episode five that foreshadowed the finale's events, but also what he thought about the character played so well by Pedro Pascal. NBA MVP race: A complete history of voter fatigue and how Nikola Jokic is avoiding it in 2023

What exactly is voter fatigue? It's perhaps the most-discussed element of the 2023 NBA MVP race, and yet it seems to lack a specific definition. On the most basic level, it refers to the idea that awards voters tend to favor newer candidates. When an incumbent or established winner seeks a second trophy and loses to a newcomer, it is often invoked by the more experienced candidate's supporters. "Voters are bored of Player X's greatness," they'll say. It is a concept that is applied somewhat selectively. After all, the NBA has awarded 67 regular-season MVP trophies, and more than one third of them (24 out of 67) have been given to just five players: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain and LeBron James. A total of 13 players have won the award in consecutive seasons, and other awards are even more dynastic. The last 30 Defensive Player of the Year awards hav...

Hackers Threaten To Leak Stalker 2 Over Dev's Pro Ukraine Comments

The Russian government's brutal attack on Ukraine has destroyed the lives of countless people. However, the people of Ukraine have stood strong, fought back, and have even continued living their lives, despite the threat. One such example is GSC Game World, the developer of Stalker, which is currently working on the sequel. As you can imagine, the developer has undergone horrible circumstances, but is still working on pushing the game out, almost as if in defiance of Russia's attack. However, not the developer is also dealing with hackers from Russia, who aren't happy with its pro-Ukraine comments. A hacker going by the name NF Star on Discord has leaked a few images of Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, but claims that they have "tens of gigabytes" more that they can leak if GSC doesn't meet their demands. Over the past couple of months, Nintendo and Illumination have proven that The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a veritable treasure trove of references and easter eggs for both the Super Mario series and Nintendo as a whole. Nowhere is this more apparent than with the plumbing commercials, which not only featured a remix of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show rap, but also seemingly featured the voice of Princess Toadstool from the same show. Related: Wait, Is The Super Mario Movie Actually A Mario Kart Movie? The easter eggs don’t stop there, however. An in-universe website for Super Mario Bros. plumbing recently went live and it features a bunch of new easter eggs, mostly thanks to testimonials from a number of characters. One of the best of the bunch is actually a reference t...

ProWritingAid - a better version of Grammarly

Image
Gone are the days when simple Microsoft Word grammar tool corrections would adequately satisfy the writer before being sent out. While Grammarly, one of the first few AI grammar tool checkers, became widely popular with users from many professions, the premium subscription was still pricey and the free basic version lost touch with its accurate suggestions. ProWritingAid provides reasonable premium packages with similar services, a great value for money. Elden Ring Player Creates "Furnace Trap" To Cook Invaders Alive

Ever since Elden Ring got its Colosseum update, we've seen a renaissance in PvP builds. There are so many viable strategies that it's rare to see two of the exact same invader builds in a row, and innovative new builds pop up all the time. Perhaps the wildest I've seen in a long while comes courtesy of LordTexugo over on the Elden Ring subreddit. Their build involves turning themselves into an impassable wall and then trapping their opponents while cooking them alive. Related: Elden Ring's Shadow Of The Erdtree Can’t Get Carried Away With Its Own Lore As you can see in the video below, LordTexugo is going for maximum toughness in their build. The Fire Prelate set makes the character extremely wide and also provides a ton of AC. Presumably, they have several damage-reducing talismans equipped like the Dragon Crest Greathshield and Pearldrake talismans. They'll also case Endure for increased poise, and drink an Ironjar Aromatic and Wondrous Physick when...

Kevin Durant and Devin Booker quickly cementing themselves as NBA's best duo

The NBA has become a league largely defined by duos. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in Boston. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic in Dallas. Joel Embiid and James Harden in Philadelphia. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George with the Clippers. LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers. De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis in Sacramento. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in Miami. Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. with the Grizzlies.  The Warriors, Nuggets and Bucks are teams who are led by one superstar with a less defined No. 2, though I would argue Jrue Holiday, at this point in time, is clearly Milwaukee's second-best player, as is Klay Thompson, certainly offensively, in Golden State with the way he's shooting since the turn of the calendar.  Either way, there is one newly formed duo that is quickly cementing itself as the class of the league: Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, who combined for 73 points in Phoenix's ...
