The Genesis Invitational, hosted by Tiger Woods, has crowned its champion. The 2024 edition of the event saw Hideki Matsuyama emerge victorious among a field of 70 Golf ers. Woods and Jordan Spieth exited the tournament halfway through because of flu-like symptoms. Matsuyama was able to secure the win with a final round of 9 under 62 , beating out Will Zalatoris and Luke List, who were tied at T2. He also set a record for the lowest final round by a PGA Tour winner at Riviera, beating Doug Tewell’s record of 63 in 1986 . Matsuyama finished with a total score of 267 (-17), three strokes ahead of the runners-up. He took home a winner’s cut of $4 million from the total prize pool of $20 million .
